Job Summary:Reporting to the Factory Built Building (FBB) Program Manager, FBB Inspectors monitor the many stages of manufacturer certification, unit production, and installation of FBBs regulated by the Department to maintain standards of quality and safety in the construction of these buildings. This position provides surveillance, quality assurance, and administrative support and produces reports of monitoring and inspection results to the FBB Manager. Provides input for development of processes and procedures. Enforces State statutes and International Codes for FBB construction. These functions support the Agency's mission to maintain standards of quality and safety for the occupants of these regulated structures. Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:Conducts manufacturer certification, monitors ongoing production and in plant processes to construct factory built buildings to ensure they meet the requirements of Arizona Revised Statutes and Arizona Administrative Code, Title 4, Chapter 34, and other applicable statutes and rules. Interprets approved design and structural plans and specifications. Documents non-conformance with standards in detailed inspection reports. Discusses inspection findings with plant personnel, immediate supervisor, and/or other division management, regarding situations or concerns that may require remedial action. This position requires technical expertise and industry knowledge due to the evolution of the products being constructed and the use of robotics and technology within the licensed manufacturing facilities.
Inspects the installation of factory built buildings for compliance with the requirements of Arizona Revised Statutes and Arizona Administrative Code, Title 4, Chapter 34, and other applicable statutes and rules. Interprets approved plans and specifications. Ensures that factory built components are properly constructed and applied during the installation phase of each project.
Administrative duties include training, staff support, record keeping, report writing, review of internal policies and procedures, author performance metrics, application of building codes, rules and statutes and the preparation of communications for internal and external distribution. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of State Statutes and Rules; adopted building codes; construction and manufacturing methods related
to regulated buildings.
Preparing reports; good verbal communications in the field, among peers, and with agency management; managing special assignments; identifying problems; solving problems; basic computer skills.
Read and understand engineered design plans and ensure the work performed complies with the plan; apply state
statutes and rules, adopted building codes on a daily basis; work with diverse populations.
Experience with general construction, factory built building construction and installation methods, and quality system development
