About the role

The Home Office Program Systems & Process Support Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within Citi’s global workforce and contributes to site/resource/HOP strategy by driving efficiencies, improving processes, and creating/interpreting intelligence and other insights. Recognized as a tools, data, and technical authority (SME) for the Home Office Program (HOP) and Resource/Site Strategy efforts within COO - Enterprise Excellence. This includes our HOP Webtool Workflow application (developed by Citi IT), and data insights that illustrate our locations, resources, and end-user opportunities (e.g. GDW, Inquiry Framework, HPAM, Tableau, Power BI, TM1/PAW/Financial Planning). Requires basic commercial awareness of Project/Workforce/Change Management processes and philosophies. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to translate business needs/requests into technical requirements and to guide colleagues across multiple functions. This role drives significant impact on the enterprise through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts the overall performance and effectiveness across multiple functions and lines of business.

Responsibilities

  • The Home Office Program Systems & Process Support Lead is responsible to partner with technology resources to enhance our workflow and automation tools to meet goals; identify and define necessary system enhancements; analyze existing system logic, identify problems; recommend and implement solutions
  • Support the design of Resource and Location strategies across the Enterprise
  • Develop strong relationships and partnerships across various stakeholder groups to achieve project and organizational goals; be a change champion across the organization
  • Identify opportunities for synergies and process improvements, identify recommendations and partner with stakeholders on execution
  • Take on high level problems with limited definition in order to uncover root causes, develop solutions and translate into specific recommendations for action
  • Challenge the status quo & be a source of ideas. Probes beyond symptoms to find underlying cause.
  • Work effectively in ambiguous situations; effectively adapts to unstructured environment and shows initiative in support of sustainable change
  • Promote a culture of quality that delivers customer and business value through breakthrough and sustainable improvement

  • Apply a broad understanding of business, financials, operations, technology and controls to all work
  • Partner closely with Technology and Real-Estate teams to understand expense allocation and P&L impact of strategic decisions
  • Develop metrics and dashboards to ensure alignment with strategic plans
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives.
  • Acts as advisor or coach to new or junior colleagues in the business processes and procedures of area supported.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years relevant experience (preferably from Citi departments such as PBWM Operations, GWFO, or CSC)
  • Stays abreast of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, training and/or seminars.
  • Ability to develop plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
  • Knowledge of project metrics (including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, and interpretation).
  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.
  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.
  • Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them; clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required.
