Job Description

The primary focus of the Sr. Operational/Regulatory Risk Analyst is to identify operational and regulatory risks, as well as document controls, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and thresholds, and risk and control self-assessments (RCSA) being implemented to mitigate risks. You will be working with our Product and Operations teams to develop detailed documentation designed to reduce risk and allow the business to thrive for Experian Consumer Services programs. This will include new products and features in the financial services and financial technologies space, working with risk mitigation partners, with a focus on excellence in risk identification and documentation.

This position will be supporting the Experian Consumer Services - a passionate and innovative team with a mission to provide Financial Power to All™. Our portfolio offers credit education and identity protection solutions to consumers and helps businesses manage the impact of a data breach.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Understand operational and regulatory risks and take appropriate actions as they relate to Experian including all documentation, and any other requirements to maintain operational integrity
  • Work with Legal, Compliance, and key business stakeholders to identify risks associated with products and operations
  • Identify and document controls that are or should be in place to mitigate risks and address business change
  • Document metrics designed to provide oversight of risks, and risk minimization
  • Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Thresholds
  • Lead Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) activities and update and maintain RCSA related documentation in the system of record
  • Determine preset course of action for thresholds that are met
  • Create and maintain process flow charts imbedding risk and control points
  • Maintain the document repository located in a web-based SharePoint site
  • Work with various teams on inputting controls / metrics into Archer GRC
  • Ensure applicable new and existing regulations are documented in GRC/Archer
  • Ensure new and existing regulations are connected to business processes in GRC/Archer
  • Focus on continuously delivering business and operational value - track, trend, analyze business metrics to drive actionable risk mitigation improvements and enhancements
  • Assist with the completion of special projects and initiatives
  • Support related risk functions of the governance and oversight teams as needed, including developing and supporting risk-based training programs 

Qualifications

What your background looks like

  • Progressive experience with a result oriented, growth company, preferably in consumer financial services or financial technology products
  • Experience in a highly regulated field in a risk management role (example: financial services or financial technology) (5-8 years)
  • Experience in leading large, complex programs, with the ability to help oversee third-party partners obligations
  • Strong computer and MS Office skills, to include experience with SharePoint site administration
  • Detail oriented, execution-oriented self-starter adept at multi-tasking and providing deliverables within the expected timeframe
  • Strong ability to analyze, summarize, and communicate findings and issues drawn from facts and apply complex legal and regulatory requirements in a technically competent manner
  • Working knowledge of Archer GRC is a plus
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, high degree of personal excellence
