About the role

Data Entry Clerk

 

The Data Entry Clerk operates data entry devices, such as keyboard and database software. Duties may include verifying data and preparing materials for printing. Ability to interact with staff in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered.
  • Read source documents and enter data into proprietary software.
  • Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors. 
  • Store completed documents in appropriate locations. 
  • Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
  • Locate and correct data entry errors and report them to supervisors.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

 Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • At least 1 year experience in data entry.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

In this position, some travel required and may require driving for long periods of time to remote locations. You may be sitting for extended periods of time, and also able to work long hours and up to six days a week as needed.
