The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. ​​Within Azure Data, the business intelligence team builds and maintains Power BI which is the undisputed leader in BI tool in the industry today and serves as the bridge between data professionals & Office users. Power BI’s core value proposition is to enable end users to get answers & insights from their data through data visualization.​

​​Power BI Reporting & Exploration team's mission is to empower everyone to better understand their data and effectively communicate insights. We are looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to work on the modern user interfaces that are performant, reliable, secure, responsive, and accessible. You will apply the latest open-source web technologies, such as React, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and D3.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver world-class user experiences and planet-scale cloud services to customers in collaboration with architects, UX designers, and product managers
• Design, code, test, and operate applications that are performant, reliable, secure, responsive, and accessible UI effectively abstracts customer workflow concepts
• Make engineering investments and build reusable components to ship faster with higher quality and consistency
• Work with customers to make them successful and understand their unmet needs
• Collaborate with partner teams to deliver new value in our product and across Microsoft’s products
• Foster a culture of excellence, inclusion, collaboration, and customer focus​​

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• ​​Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check
• This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
