We are seeking an onsite Principal Program Supplier Assurance (PSA) to support the Advanced Power Solutions (APS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) team.
The ideal candidate will have a dynamic mindset and the ability to influence peers and offer creative results to complex problems that arise during development efforts. The candidate will collaborate closely with all cross-functional teams including systems, electrical, mechanical, operations, supply chain, and systems integration and test to guarantee that mission goals and contractual requirements have been met within the supply base.
Location and Travel Information:
- The position interfaces with program teams on-site at the McKinney, TX facility, no relocation assistance is available, and the ideal candidate must be within commuting distance to the McKinney, TX Facility.
- Some travel can be expected as part of this role (Up to 25%).
What You Will Do:
- The Program Supplier Assurance (PSA) is the primary quality interface between Raytheon's organization and the external supply base. The PSA provides both communication of requirements and performance feedback to the supplier as well as being a conduit for Quality information back to internal functions within Raytheon.
- Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and Statement of Works (SOWs).
- Interpret supplier requirements to ensure the supply base understands and complies with these quality requirements.
- Drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including Root Cause Corrective Actions, Statistical/analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies.
- Apply APQP processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes.
- Can anticipate some travel (Up to 25%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews.
- Represent quality during review boards covering changes to supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews.

- Expanding APQP knowledge and execution experience
- Developing key relationships with value streams, our customers, and supply base
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and 8 years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering experience.
- Experience working with one or more of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools – Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Lean Manufacturing, Control Plans, other process improvement tools
- Previous experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience with one of the following: ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems, AS9145 Requirements for APQP & PPAP, and First Article Inspection (FAI) standard AS9102.
- Previous experience interpretating schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.
