In your role as a Patient Care Assistant on our Medical Surgical Unit at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, you will help provide basic nursing assistance to patients. You may be floating between Med-Surg and Med-Surg overflow units including General, Behavioral, Ortho, Trauma and Oncology. You may rotate in the Monitor Tech and Runner position on Behavioral/General Med Surg 1A. You will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between physicians, nurses and physicians, calls in Consults and acts as a liaison with all other internal departments and external contacts. Duties can vary from vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate), assisting with patient hygiene and movement, and generally monitoring the patient and providing updates to clinical staff. Bring your passion for patient care to this fast paced, teamwork oriented, and collaborative environment that supports learning at all levels.   • Full-Time Day Shift Available (weekly 3-12 hour shifts from 6:00am - 6:30pm)
  • Weekend and Holiday Rotations are required in this role.
  • You can utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage.
  • There are no set days you can be scheduled each week
  • Enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-Night Shift differential when applicable

POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care.
