Standards Project Manager

The GWS Standards Project Manager will support the Standards Team through the authoring and publishing of GWS design standards, integration of compliance and auditing with standards, data entry and collection, data analysis and reporting, aligning processes and content writing, proofing and editing. This role is responsible for, but not limited to, development of efforts associated with security design standards. Successful candidate will assist with all mentioned responsibilities on a global level.
 

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Manage multiple concurrent projects that require coordination with multiple cross-functional stakeholders and teams
• Evaluates project status and resource utilization; implements changes as needed; reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
• Track, escalate and mitigate projects risks and issues as appropriate
• Supports management through project planning and coordination to meet commitments on time and within resource limitations; with client and management approval, assists with the determination of requirements, priorities and monitoring of progress.
• Act as a conduit to creating efficiencies, effectiveness and alignment across GWS through establishing transparent information sharing
• Own and manage project plans and provide regular communications to management and stakeholders on projects status, risks, dependencies, …
• Support the design, launch and continuous enhancements of baseline security standards.
• Be responsible for deployment, collection, data entry and general recording and administration of global security standards.
• Oversee timely submissions by the members of Standards team if and when required.
• Management of the GWS standards deviation and change request process.
• Partner with other team members responsible for similar processes across the team to ensure consistency and alignment.
   

What You Will Need to Succeed:

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience as a Project Management or similar/relevant experience.
• Proficient in MS Suites to include Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
• Root cause analysis, industry benchmarking, survey evaluation and data interpretation.
• Experience working in Physical Security with exposure to global operations / projects.
• Experience in project and process management.
   

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications or related fields; or 2+ years of relevant experience.
