Rust Automation & Controls - Accounting Specialist (A/R)

Role + Responsibilities

Rust Automation & Controls Inc., a manufacturer's representative partner of Endress+Hauser, Inc., is currently looking to hire an Accounting Specialist to join their team in West Jordan, UT. The accounts receivable position involves working with Rust Automation & Controls’ customers, vendors, and fellow teammates to ensure that essential accounting functions are performed. It also involves making sure that needed information is appropriately processed & distributed. The most critical focus of this role is executing follow-up on outstanding receivables and proper application of customer payments. 

• Generate invoices to customers for drop/ship orders
• Post bills for orders received in the warehouse
• Follow up on credits and refunds
• Assist Sales with Will Call orders 
• Generate commission invoices for various vendors
• Set up new vendor accounts and ensure accurate records are maintained
• Work with the warehouse team to resolve freight questions & issues
• Post general payables
• Ensure timely payment of payables
• Review employee expense reports in Concur for accuracy & work with employees to resolve issues. Train new employees in system usage.
• Explore ways to improve A/P functions 
• Maintain various Accounting reports
• Identify and assess customer needs on an ongoing basis, and provide accurate information to achieve satisfaction
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
• Utilize computer technology to enhance efficiencies
• Go the extra mile to engage with customers and teammates

Qualification + Profile

• College degree or equivalent experience
• Strong & active phone listening skills
• Strong computer skills and understanding of web-based applications
• Familiar with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and practices
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different personalities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to improve customer experience
• Accounting Experience preferred 
• Inside Sales (optional)
• Technical Sales (optional)

$45,000/yr - $60,000/yr
