About the role

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handling material.
  • Moving items to appropriate areas.
  • The ability to handle documentation depending on the current work task.
  • The ability to utilize EBS system regarding receiving.
  • Familiarity with the Kardex System.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment location and where to locate them in the warehouse.
  • Maintains proper inventory levels of, properly safely labeled and stores, and requisition all materials and supplies required to operate work center efficiently.
  • Assist in conduction physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Extensive product knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of work processes in the department.
  • Report problems to responsible management levels.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean & organized work area, utilize safe work habits.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 yrs of warehouse experience.
  • Forklift experience – license is a plus.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedule.
  • Must possess a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
  • Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently. 
  • Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
  • Factory environment with large range in temperature changes.
  • Must be physically able to operate a machine eight (8) to twelve (12) hours per day.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to listen to machine and tooling to ensure the machine and tooling are operating properly.
  • The employee must be able to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds during set-ups.
  • While doing set-ups and verifying measurements employee will routinely bend.
