Associate Content Specialist - 240301: KNW-B20
The Associate Content Specialist will report to the Senior Manager of Strategic Functions and coordinate content and communication activities for the IEEE Conferences, Events & Experiences (CEE) Team. This position will support developing and delivering content for CEE's community, events, resources, and services.
The Associate Content Specialist will collaborate closely with the team to create engaging and effective content for CEE's diverse audiences, including conference organizers, volunteers, participants, speakers, partners, and the general public.
Additionally, this role will involve developing and maintaining project calendars for communications, ensuring that stakeholders remain aligned and accountable. The Specialist will oversee content workflows and act as the point of contact for activities across various initiatives, experiences, and events.
The responsibilities also include gathering and organizing content, overseeing review processes, making requested revisions, and obtaining necessary approvals. The Specialist will schedule, review, and publish content and communications and maintain and update contact lists for CEE activities.
Furthermore, this position will manage libraries of content, photos, and videos and seek ways to make it easier for the team to access and repurpose content. The role will require various content management tools, software, and platforms for delivery, publishing, and analysis.
Researching trends and best practices will also be a key part of this role, which aims to enhance CEE's resources and services. The Associate Content Specialist will be an individual contributor within both staff and volunteer teams and will not manage direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
- - Coordinating content and communications assigned to the CEE Customer Experience and related projects and initiatives
- - Maintaining multiple project calendars for CEE activities and supporting the team in achieving timelines and deliverables
- - Overseeing the curation, review, editing, and approval process of CEE content, ensuring editorial sign off on all content
- - Scheduling and publishing content to CEE’s community, website, and online presence
- - Reviewing, publishing, and updating content and communications across multiple platforms and analyzing effectiveness
- - Assembling a digital asset library for multiple organizational uses in coordination with manager and under the direction of CEE Sr. leadership
- - Special projects as assigned by Manager or Sr. Director.
Qualifications
Education- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or equivalent experience in Communications, English, or equivalent experience Req Pref
- 2-4 years of related work experience in digital communications, with proven expertise in content coordination and delivery, website publishing, and evaluating success Pref
- - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- - Project management skills and strong attention to detail
- - Experience with digital communications systems
- - Proficiency in website content management systems
- - Ability to review, edit, and publish various content formats
- - Basic proficiency with photo and video editing software
- - G-Suite, desktop productivity software proficiency (documents, email, presentations, spreadsheets)
- - Ability to work with multiple priorities and deadlines
- - Performing other related duties as assigned.
