JOB SUMMARY:
This position provides oversight, guidance, and support as it relates to UO Orlando Capital Finance. This includes partnering with Divisional operators and delivering high-quality customer service while influencing decisions and driving financial results. Additional aspects of the job include ensuring department deadlines are met and company policies are adhered to, as well as identifying departmental process improvements. The Senior Manager will participate in financial reviews with executive leadership and will lead a team of multiple exempt positions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage staff by providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, career development, and performance management.
- Manage cash flow, forecast tracking, and CAR approvals. Notify management of forecasted project variances and risks promptly.
- Direct and supervise the applicable month-end close processes, including reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, data requests, etc. to ensure accuracy and compliance with NBCU policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties including, but not limited to: partnering with various departments, participation in company-wide and departmental system enhancement projects, reviewing and updating standard operating procedures as deemed necessary, etc.
- Active participant in the annual budget process. Ensure accurate project financials are provided for Executive meetings.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years of Finance experience, including 5+ years of supervisory experience
- ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
