We are looking for an exceptional teammate to own the planning and logistics of our signature events, along with supporting the engagement strategy for the full time associate and internship programs. The ideal candidate will have strong planning, organization, and communication skills, laser customer focus, and meticulous attention to detail.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Partner with program managers and other key stakeholders to help execute signature program and internship events in a hybrid capacity (Onboarding, Experience Weeks, Graduation, etc.)
Lead event and logistics support services (fun events, catering, swag, hotel room blocks, etc.) in accordance with Capital One's support process, standards, and systems. This may involve flexible working hours, depending on the needs of the program or event.
Own program budgets, which includes tracking, forecasting, and auditing information on a cadenced basis
Partner with our program associates on the PDP Councils to provide best practices and oversight w/ event planning and budget management
Lead vendor management processes, including handling Coupa requisitions and assisting with management of third party vendor relationships
Help the team identify and implement process improvements that enhance the associate experience and/or operational efficiency
Manage some team communications, including drafting and editing information to be distributed through the team calendar, Google Site, mailbox, newsletter, and Slack channels
Manage inbox and calendar invites for full-time and intern programs
Maintain upkeep of Google Drives and Google Sites spaces, including deckware, rosters, and access
Build and own relationships with internal clients, stakeholders, and external vendors
Support the development and implementation of engagement strategies to help build a community that leads to retention of top talent and strengthens Capital One’s brand
Basic Qualifications:
Associate's degree or military experience
At least 1 year of experience working in Event and Logistics Management or at least 1 year of experience in Human Resources or a combination of both
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
At least 2 years of experience in Event Management or at least 2 years of experience in Recruiting or at least 2 years of experience Human Resources or at least 2 years of experience in Marketing or a combination of any of the above
At least 1 year of experience with project management
Experience interpreting metrics and trends
Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change
Proven problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
Ability to embrace new systems and process enhancements
High degree of professionalism and integrity when interacting with all customer contacts
