About the role

We are seeking a customer and solution-oriented HR Systems Analyst to provide support and development for HR applications and reporting solutions.

As the HR Systems Analyst, you’ll become knowledgeable in Sentry’s HR processes, define system and reporting requirements, implement system enhancements and changes, generate reporting solutions and provide system training, support and guidance for HR technology solutions.

What You’ll Do

As the HR Systems Analyst, you’ll:

  • Develop system solutions to address various system enhancement and change requests, from requirement gathering, to agile development, testing and validation.

  • Act as the coordinator of all technology enhancements, upgrades, patches, and modifications.

  • Implement, maintain, and ensure ongoing operations of HR systems by collaborating with and training team members.

  • Coordinate with HR Centers of Excellence to refine understanding of business processes and their corresponding system and reporting needs. Apply this knowledge when developing system enhancements that meet requirements, provide a good user experience and are maintainable.

  • Become knowledgeable in Sentry HR systems to trouble shoot when errors occur, determine root cause and resolution, and provide support and guidance to application users.

  • Design, develop, and test operational and analytical reports and ensure the accuracy of data.

  • Deliver ad hoc information requests that present the data in a meaningful fashion, which may include extracting and integrating data from various sources and identifying trends and patterns to provide useful insights into business processes and results.

  • Interpret analytical results and help HR leaders understand and communicate current and potential future trends.

  • Ensure confidential and appropriate security and access systems are in place.

  • Establish and maintain system data integrity by performing data analysis and audits.

  • Maintain knowledge of HR workflows and recommend changes that will enhance or streamline workflow processes.

What it Takes:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience, including translating business needs into requirements, and developing, supporting, and reporting on technology solutions.

  • Strong understanding of data structures and lineage.

  • Workday experience is a plus.

  • Experience leveraging data visualization tools like Tableau.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.

  • Inquisitive with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to HR application and technology changes.

  • Ability to work independently and lead technology projects with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated positive, customer-service oriented approach to supporting the business.
