The salary range for this role is:

$66,336.66 - $109,432.93

Responsibilities:

Supervisor responsibility for the planning and coordination of all Quality and Safety compliance activities for the Rochelle, IL facility as required by corporate policies and procedures; Federal, State, and Local regulations; and Industry Standards. Work with Corporate/Regional Environmental and Safety team to modify corporate policies and procedures for site-specific accuracy and applicability.

The incumbent is responsible for all Quality and Safety regulations and maintaining full compliance. Incumbent makes recommended changes to current compliance programs and procedures in order to improve overall conformance with regulatory guidelines and increase employee engagement and adherence to established policies and procedures.

The position will be responsible for coordinating regulatory programs and permitting applications.

All duties and responsibilities are under the guidance of or designated by the locations site director.

Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety governmental regulations, OSHA, & DOT.
  • Provide directions on all OSHA and related regulations as it relates to safety, for interpreting and implementation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct/coordinate all necessary safety training for all required safety related polices and tracking/verifications.
  • Train all site employees on all safety and emergency action related corporate policies and procedures on a scheduled basis and keep detailed training records as required by OSHA.
  • Facilitate safety committee activities and meetings to promote and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Liaise the maintenance of all Workers’ Compensation requirements and required medical reports etc. with all parties (Corporate, TPA, etc.)
  • Interact with Worker’s Compensation Insurance carriers to ensure proper handling of claims in line with plant objectives.
  • Develop programs to reduce injury rates and foster safe working environments.
  • Liaise the investigation of all incidents / injuries / occupational illnesses to determine root cause, submit detailed reports as required, and ensure all corrective actions are implemented accordingly.
  • Conduct inspections of facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and corporate safety programs.
  • Ensure ongoing maintenance of the “Job Hazard Analysis” documentation.
  • Maintain vendor/contractor safety programs to ensure they are in compliance with corporate safety policies while onsite.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Analyze safety data and metrics to identify trends and implement proactive measures.

Food Safety and Quality

  • Coordinate and ensure implementation of Corporate Quality and Tech Services policies by performing/reviewing internal audits and maintenance of plant quality systems.
  • Ensure product safety through development, review and enforcement of company policies through process control review and management of product holds.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulations along with corporate and customer standards.
  • Review and enforce company quality standards provided by facility, regional and corporate quality authorities.
  • Ensure all elements of the annual plant quality plan are met by working with plant management to review progress and results periodically and implement corrective actions when objectives are not achieved.
