About the role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Credit and Financial Administration
- Credit Processing and Compliance: Review, validate, and approve all member credit requests (digital and manual submissions) in compliance with current Division Manager and Accounting Supervisor guidelines. Ensure timely keypunching/digital approval within enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., StoreFront, PCOMM, or equivalent)
- Returns Logistics Coordination: Proactively monitor and facilitate requests for member returns, coordinating efficiently with Logistics, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to ensure streamlined product movement and accurate inventory adjustments.
- Billing and Statement Interpretation: Serve as the subject matter expert for member store inquiries regarding complex credits, invoice interpretation, statement balance clarification, and missing documentation.
II. Member Services and Issue Resolution
- Relationship Management: Develop and sustain a highly professional, service-oriented relationship with AWG retailer personnel, solidifying the company's commitment to exemplary customer experience.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the central point of contact, performing a liaison role between the member retailer and appropriate internal departmental resources to drive timely and accurate resolution of all operational issues, including product delivery, handbill administration, and special needs requests.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge
- ERP/Credit Systems Proficiency: Working knowledge of credit processing software (e.g., PowerBI, SCM) and modern office systems.
- Financial Literacy: Solid understanding of basic accounting functions, accounts receivable, and credit policies within a wholesale/retail grocery environment.
- Office Technology: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Google Doc) for data analysis, reporting.
Abilities
- Communication Mastery: Exceptional professional telecommunication and written business correspondence skills, maintaining composure and clarity under pressure.
- Data Entry & Calculation: Proven ability to perform accurate and high-speed data entry, including a ten-key by touch. Ability to perform mathematical calculations and interpret complex financial data to solve practical problems.
- Problem-Solving & Judgment: Demonstrated ability to interpret various forms of instruction (written, oral, diagrammatic) and exercise sound, professional judgment in executing timely solutions for complex retailer issues.
- Adaptability: Capacity to provide backup and learn adjacent operational roles quickly.
Experience, Education & Training
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Prior experience in computer data entry, accounts receivable, or a customer service role within a wholesale/distribution environment. A background in basic accounting or finance is a significant plus.
