Collins Aerospace is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Mission Systems Engineering and Technology department located in Sterling, VA. This position is onsite, based out of our Sterling, VA site location; may be eligible for relocation.

What YOU will do:

• Work under supervision to provide technical support to engineers on a variety of engineering tasks.
• Performs basic to moderately complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects.
• Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.
• Plan and executes experiments and gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as engineering design changes to support engineering disciplines.
• Produce drawings, reports and engineering documentation.  

Qualifications you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Qualifications we prefer:

• SolidWorks Experience
• Courses or projects in structural and sheet metal design
