The Franchise/3PL Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of Franchise/3PL distribution operations, collaborating closely with internal teams (e.g., Sourcing, Brands, Partner Support, Distribution Centers) and external partners (3PL Operators, ports, truckers). This role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.What You'll Do
Ensure effective use of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and troubleshoot issues with IT or systems teams.
Enforce compliance with SOPs, OSHA standards, quality certifications (e.g., ISO, CTPAT), and customer-specific requirements.
Manage audits, documentation, and reporting for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee daily operations across one or more distribution centers, ensuring efficient receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
Ensure inventory accuracy, proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and minimize shrinkage.
Monitor and optimize process cycle/takt times, turnaround times, and dock-to-stock KPIs.
Analyze trends and operational data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Conduct root cause analyses on service failures or variances and implement corrective actions.
Ensure adequate capacity and excellent service levels for internal and external customers.
Who You Are
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in 3PL management, logistics, or supply chain operations
- Proven experience managing 3PL distribution operations using data and KPIs.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and performance management of 3PLs and carriers.
- Experience with supply chain technology and logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS, visibility platforms).
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis.
- Understanding of international trade terms (Incoterms), customs regulations, and freight documentation.
