ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Care Navigator, you’ll be doing the important and meaningful work of supporting individuals as they navigate through the complex ASD landscape. You will provide critical psychoeducation on topics like early intervention services, navigating a diagnosis, and how to advocate for school and government services. Additionally, you will help connect clients to high-quality, evidence-based diagnosticians and providers, depending on their needs. The focus of this role will be on (but not limited to) providing support to caregivers of children/adolescents with suspected or diagnosed ASD and supporting adults seeking ASD-informed care. This position does not involve providing in-person services or therapy but instead focuses on supporting clients in navigating to care, exclusively by phone and email.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Warmly support clients by: understanding their current situation, conducting a brief risk assessment, providing psychoeducation relevant to the case, creating a care plan, and connecting the client to treatment
- Serve as an ASD Subject Matter Expert - providing guidance on how to best handle cases, building out psychoeducation resources, and contributing to establishing strong provider partnerships
- Effectively and professionally communicate with clients and providers throughout the process of accessing care, via email, phone, and occasionally chat
- Independently manage a caseload of complex, multi-need clients
- Creatively troubleshoot roadblocks to offering personalized, high-quality clinical care options for our clients
- Use tools like Salesforce and RingCentral to manage cases with ease
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in clinical social work or equivalent; LCSW, BCBA, or equivalent independent licensure is required. We’re unable to provide supervised hours toward licensure. Candidates without a state license to deliver services, independently, will not be considered.
- Significant experience managing ASD-related clinical situations (preference towards experience providing case management expertise)
- Deep understanding of the ASD care navigation landscape at the national, state, and regional levels, for both children and adults
- Comfort in environments with constantly evolving responsibilities
- Passion for connecting individuals with excellent care and the ability to provide short-term support over the phone and via email
- Bilingual, Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred, but not required
- Candidate must be a full-time resident of the United States
