IT Procurement & Asset Specialist

Job Description

The IT Procurement & Asset Management Specialists role is to manage the overall system of information technology value for the full life cycle of assets including Procurement, Allocation and decommission. They will oversee the everyday and long-term tactical management of technology-related hardware and software inside the organization. Their duties include keeping the IT Business catalog updated, tracking assets throughout their full life-cycle status. They will also conduct and assist with annual inventory audits. The goal of the Procurement & Asset Management Specialist is to lead the business customers with direct quality control of all company related IT Assets for their entire lifecycles.

Procurement & Asset Specialist Responsibilities

• Responsible for placing all orders with vendors for product fulfillment requests for the entire company as it relates to IT equipment
• Monitor and track all company assets in the AMDB from procurement to the end of lifecycle
• Responsible for ensuring all items over $500 are asset tagged prior to being deployed
• Responsible for tracking of expiration dates of software & hardware warranties
• Reduce unnecessary spend on hardware by limiting orders for premium-class computers that are not part of the IT Standard List without business justifications
• Responsible for processing and submitting entire IT department invoices and ensure they are paid timely
• Responsible for the assisting of new site openings by ensuring equipment needs are ordered to meet specific timelines
• Responsible for the shipping of assets to and from corporate
• Responsible for working with HR in the retrieving and deployment of assets for new hires and terminations
• Ensuring the IT Equipment catalog for customers is kept up to date based on the IT Standards for equipment
• Provide annual audit reporting to departments with proposed devices to be replaced based on lifecycle status for budgetary purposes
• Perform annual asset audit for entire company.
