Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.The Multi-Product Power & Digital department is responsible for FPGA and hardware designs for electronic warfare, radar, and effector products. Job responsibilities of this role include activities such as troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment, performing system and circuit level analysis, supporting failure investigations, maintaining and creating documentation, hardware and/or logic design, and interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers.
The MPD department is seeking a Power & Analog Design Engineer I to join our team. This position is an onsite role.
What you will do:
Assist with architecture development at the circuit card level.
Design, analyze, test, and document analog and power conversion circuitry. Main emphasis is on board-mounted power end use applications.
Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities, with moderate support from senior engineers. Assist in layer stack up definition.
Support integration and verification activities in engineering laboratories.
Drive to meet schedule concerns. Define schedules for circuit level tasking.
Function as an individual contributor.
Engage in professional growth and development.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
Typically requires 12 months or less prior relevant experience
Design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with analog electronics design, including at least one of the following: FETs/BJTs, op-amp, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits.
Experience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, LTSpice, Saber, or other similar tools.
Qualifications We prefer:
3.0 calculative GPA desired from an ABET accredited institution.
Design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with one or more of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
Analog, and/or Power electronics coursework.
Knowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.
Experience with lab equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, multimeters, signal sources, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
