Technical Proposal Lead - Offshore Projects

Wood is currently recruiting for a Technical Proposal Lead for a role at our West Houston - Park Row campus. This person will be responsible for leading the development of technical proposals for projects within the Offshore group. This role involves coordinating with various technical teams, understanding client requirements, and ensuring that proposals are technically sound, competitive, and align with company capabilities.

• Lead the creation of comprehensive technical proposals, including project scopes, execution plans, schedules, cost estimates, and technical solutions.
• Analyze client requests for proposals (RFPs), identify technical requirements, and ensure alignment with company capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, project management, and sales teams to gather necessary information and inputs for proposals.
• Provide technical guidance and insights to the proposal team, ensuring that proposals are innovative, competitive, and feasible.
• Evaluate potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies within the proposal framework.
• Prepare clear, concise, and compelling proposal documents and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape in the refining and chemicals sector.
• Ensure all proposals comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Incorporate feedback from clients and internal reviews to improve proposal quality and success rate.
• Provide technical support during the proposal review process, including responding to client queries and making necessary adjustments to proposals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Proven experience in engineering, with specific expertise in offshore projects
• Strong experience in proposal development, project management, or a related field
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools
• Knowledge of current industry regulations and standards.
