Position Summary
The Material Handler II is responsible for the accurate movement, storage, and documentation of materials within the facility. This role supports receiving, stockroom, shipping, and production line operations, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely material flow. The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP systems, RF scanning, and material handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inspection
- Receive and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Perform basic inspection of materials and report discrepancies.
- Complete SAP transactions to move materials to appropriate locations.
Stockroom Operations
- Put away materials using RF scanners and verify system accuracy.
- Pull kits and components for production based on system instructions.
- Maintain organized stockroom and replenish kanban areas.
Shipping
- Prepare and package materials for domestic and international shipments.
- Schedule carriers and complete shipping documentation.
- Support month-end shipping activities as needed.
Inventory Control
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
- Report discrepancies and assist with adjustments in SAP.
- Support material movement between departments and production lines.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of experience in material handling or warehouse operations.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
Preferred:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with RF scanning and inventory control procedures.
- Forklift certification.
