JOB SUMMARY

Senior Technical Project Managers are responsible for coordinating and completing projects on-time, within budget and within scope. Specific responsibilities include completion of scoping requirements, developing Statements of Work (SOWs), creating project schedules and milestones, assigning responsibilities to team members and/or other departments as required, regularly monitoring and reporting progress, completing project documentation, proactively escalating and addressing issues as necessary, providing high-quality deliverables and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project’s lifecycle. 

The Senior Technical Project Managers can understand complex supply chains, supporting our Product Management teams by helping turn market and customer requirements into compelling product visions and supporting product roadmaps. The Senior Professional Services Consultant is also capable of collaborating with strategic customers, internal stakeholders, and industry analysts.  

Senior Technical Project Managers are required to prepare and present formal reports for key stakeholders (internal and external). This individual serves as an in-house leader and consultant, evaluating needs/scope/business rules, workflows, planning and directing implementation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead highly strategic cross-functional and cross-organizational initiatives
• Direct project planning sessions; negotiate requirements/deliverables & schedules
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation (scoping requirements, statement of work, project schedules, RAID Logs and other items as requested by management)
• Identify staffing/skills needs and lead cross-functional resources as required 
• Manage project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate analysis and review; ensure changes are analyzed, reviewed, and approved by both internal management and the customer
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and company processes
• Collaborate with cross-departmental iTradeNetwork resources to ensure quality deliverables throughout the project
• Identify project risks and create mitigation plans to minimize the effects
• Ensure company policies, standards and best practices are adhered to
• Manage all stakeholder relationships and regularly communicate project statuses  
• Proactively report and escalate issues to management for resolution
• Perform other related duties as assigned; manage several projects concurrently
• Become an expert on all product/solutions offered by the company
• Identify business development and new project/growth opportunities during customer engagements
• Attend industry conferences and keep current with project management training to maintain proficiency

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor and/or Masters’ degree in business, computer science, engineering information systems, or a related field
• 8+ years of managing technology projects in an external customer facing capacity.
• Strong expertise with project management software tools, methodologies, and industry best practices
• Expertise working with Product Managers to relay customer requirements so they may be targeted for new product features and roadmap items
• Demonstrated ability to lead high performing teams and coach junior PMs
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the professional confidence and credibility to effectively engage and interact with all levels of an organization, from project teams to senior and executive management
• Comfortable talking about technical matters with businesspeople and business matters with technical people
• Exceptional organizational/time-management and multitasking skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Creative approach to problem solving
• Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification required
