As a Senior Industrial Wi-Fi Architect, you will leverage your expertise in Industrial Wi-Fi technology and industrial automation to drive the evolution of our existing solutions. You will also be responsible for analyzing customer requirements, participating in negotiations with customers and suppliers, and driving partner and solution selection and productization in the industrial Wi-Fi space. - Acting as domain owner, driving required actions within ECE as well as externally.
- Provide expertise in Wi-Fi and industrial automation technologies
- Drive industrial Wi-Fi partner and solution selection and productization
- Design, develop, and drive testing of Wi-Fi network utilization in OT related systems and services
- Evolve existing solutions in the industrial communication area
- Convert related architectural and business targets to implementable tasks
- Drive technical roadmaps with key OEMs in the areas of Wi-Fi access points, PoE access switches and related application vendors
- B.Sc. degree (or higher) in automation, telecommunications, information technology or a related discipline
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience in the field
- Ability to drive targets through organization, management experience.
- Successful proven track record on Wi-Fi and preferably also on access switches.
- Ability to create, document and communicate processes and procedures related to technical expertise areas
- Mastering relevant technologies such as 802.11, 802.3, 802.1, TR-069/369, Profinet, IP tunneling and routing protocols (IPsec, GRE, VXLAN, OSPF, BGP), etc.
- Familiarity with industrial automation equipment such as PLC’s, HMI’s, sensors, etc.
Previous experience in the following areas provides additional value: hands-on experience of wireless network design and debugging, automation network troubleshooting, expertise of Cisco, HPE/Aruba, Juniper, etc. networks, product management, participation in 802.11 and/or industrial automation standardization and working with computer systems.
