Part Time Assistant (District Library Technical Services)

Compensation Range:

$13.00 - $13.00

Position Summary:

Hiring Salary Range: $13.00 to $13.00 depending on qualifications.                                                                           

The part-time assistant for District Library Technical Services (DLTS) helps ensure the timely processing of materials for the five Hillsborough College campus libraries. Primary duties include assisting DLTS staff in the processing of materials according to established procedures. The part-time assistant will be cross trained to assist in invoicing, inter-library loan, and other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

• Unpack and pack items arriving at DLTS and being shipped to the five campus libraries.
• Perform pre- and post- processing on physical items.
• Process invoices and receive physical items.
• Assist in inter-library loan processes.
• Maintain inventory of office supplies.
• Other technical services projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Good organizational and communication skills.  Attention to detail.  Ability to push and pull carts, do a moderate amount of bending, lifting, squatting (up to 40lbs).  Familiarity with and use of Microsoft Office.  Previous experience in library technical services.
