You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our revenue recognition processes, with a focus on applying ASC 606 (Accounting Standards Codification Topic 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers), reviewing contracts, and supporting month-end close activities.   This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has a strong understanding of accounting principles, and wants to build hands-on experience in technical revenue recognition. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams will be key to your success.   Responsibilities: 
  • Review customer contracts and order forms to ensure revenue is recognized in compliance with ASC 606 and company policy

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries for revenue and related accounts

  • Reconcile revenue-related accounts, investigate variances, and support close processes

  • Assist in drafting and maintaining revenue recognition documentation, including policy updates and accounting memos

  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Legal teams to resolve revenue-related questions

  • Support internal and external audits by gathering data and providing clear explanations

  • Help implement and optimize revenue recognition tools and systems, including NetSuite (cloud-based ERP software)

  • Contribute to ad hoc projects, such as process improvements or contract analysis initiatives

Requirements: 
  • 2+ years of experience in public accounting, ideally working with public company clients

  • 3–4 years of hands-on experience with ASC 606, including contract review, policy documentation, and revenue memo writing

  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and revenue recognition standards

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license or active progress toward certification is preferred

  • Comfortable reviewing contracts and applying technical accounting guidance

  • Strong Excel skills; experience with NetSuite or other ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is a plus

  • Detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy

  • Clear communicator with the ability to work across teams and explain accounting concepts to non-accountants
