Job Description

Senior Software Engineer, ATS Ohio, Inc., Wixom, MI. Lead the software development on projects for motion control and data acquisition. Oversee the debug phase for the software deployment and guide junior engineers in the application of the software. Interface with customer for software related content. Interface with customers to create functional specifications for software. Contribute to the development and maintenance of ATW Livonia internal and international standards. Set and maintain departmental goals in keeping with company objectives. Support and participate in Quality Management Program. Support Applications Engineering for quoting software solutions.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Technology, Software Programming, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience.

Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:

• Programming in Labview;
• Creating software concepts for automated test machines;
• Developing software applications according to customer specifications;
• Working with suppliers to find/develop the most functional and economical solutions to design issues;
• Solving problems with Mechanical Builders, debugging software issues, and updating all appropriate documentation; and
• Making recommendations for quality and cost improvements.

Up to 30% domestic travel and 20% international travel required.
