Senior Price Reporter - Brazil Oil Products

The Team:

Brazilian refined product markets are rapidly evolving, with rising fuel imports and dynamic gasoline, diesel re-sale activity at the main ports and inland. The team is focused on engaging with market participants, large and small, by exchanging valuable and precise information, sharing market sentiment and constantly receiving and analyzing feedback to better serve these growing markets. Collaboration is also strong across Platts divisions, especially with US refined products and Brazil biofuels.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Price assessments and market insights published by this senior reporter are key in oil and gas regulators’ sector supervision, day-to-day fuel trading and for intelligence desks’ forecasts and planning. Platts is the reference in Brazil for ANP’s studies and for the recent governmental subsidies.

• Develop and grow a coverage of high interest for Brazil

• Learn to accelerate a benchmark and become a main expert for that market

• Be in contact with authorities, high-level market stakeholders

• Present to smart and knowledgeable audiences

• Work closely with experts in their own areas across S&P Global

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

• Experience in market reporting, especially in commodity markets

• English proficiency, writing and speaking

• Strong presentation skills and ease in interacting with public

• Ability to act under tight deadlines while being cooperative

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Availability to travel to conferences and for meeting with sources

• Strong Microsoft Excel, mathematical skills

• Understanding of hedging, and/or oil, fuel markets
