The Team:

Compustat Fundamentals – Compustat is a premier source for fundamental data, providing industry leading data for more than 50 years. The Fundamentals Team conducts a thorough financial statements analysis with a view to provide in-depth, accurate and timely research that supports fundamental analysis of market participants by providing important inputs necessary for computation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including metrics like Earnings per Share from Operations, Industry-specific data, Segment/Customer/Product data. As part of this research, the team delves into entire financial report that includes financial statements, MD&A and related footnotes.


Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Leads team of 8 to 10 Lead Data Analysts that function as mentors
  • Develops the training and development function for new hires in the process of data research and extraction of data from various sources.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all testing and mentoring activities adhere to established quality standards and guidelines. Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance processes.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources and tasks among team members based on individual strengths and project requirements to optimize team productivity
  • Fosters a collaborative and high-performance environment for new hires and less tenured staff. Providing regular feedback and support of professional development.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $53,084 to $85,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
  • Hands-on experience as trainer/mentor in data collection environment
  • 10+ years of working experience as part of Compustat Data & Operations
  • Excellent analytical, project-management, communication and interpersonal skills 

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  •  A strong know-how of internal tools and capabilities such as FRDE, Foreseer, Spark Assist, etc. 
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and due diligence.
  • Self-motivated and self-driven individual. 
  • Interest in working in a challenging and dynamic environment
