Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
- If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

Advanced proficiency in user experience, interaction, and user interface design for digital tools applications

An understanding of the principles of product design, and experience conducting design sprints and/or delivery within an Agile model

Experience within uncovering user pain points and opportunities; and prioritizing insights through user experience research discovery and testing

Proven ability to work cross functionally across multiple business units, including influencing others without a direct line of reporting

Advanced level skills and experience with common user experience design/development/research tools and methodologies (eg Figma, Atlassian, Dovetail, design systems)

Advanced level skills and experience with Design Thinking or other User and Human-Centered Design techniques

Ability to move between high level conceptual design/vision and the tactical work

Build and cultivate strong relationships via teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and the ability to collaborate to reach a common agreement

Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, business administration, computer science or related field
- Six or more years of professional job related experience in digital product design/development or related experience
- Experience with technology or digital delivery
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education & Experience Preferred
- Certification in Design Thinking or other human centered design approaches
