Job Summary:

This position will work with the VUMC Enterprise Cybersecurity CyberRisk team to help fulfill program objectives and oversee all aspects of their assigned portfolio. This position will be overseeing the Cybersecurity Risk Assessment program and work with departmental leadership to maintain a strategic view over the set of projects and program activities, and provide the framework for achieving a vision of the CyberRisk program. This position will participate in meetings and the decision-making process with all relevant stakeholders to mitigate any risks or concerns discovered during Risk Assessment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Aligns the objectives for activities with business change objectives and selects and plans related projects and activities.
• Participates in project planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities for strategic, high impact projects.
• Manages risk and checks that solutions to problems are implemented in line with change control processes.
• Monitors and reviews the economics of program processes and ensures that there are effective governance arrangements.
• Plans, directs and coordinates activities to manage and implements interrelated projects.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
• Project Planning (Intermediate): Demonstrates ability to forecast complex resource needs, identify and break work down into discrete and measurable tasks, set priorities, define dependencies, schedule activities, prepare acceptance criteria and organize work for one or more large projects. Plans for and anticipates events outside of immediate responsibility. Anticipates problems and obstacles before they arise. Sets priorities with a proper sense of urgency and importance. Develops creative ideas and takes innovative action to achieve planned goals and objectives. Is proficient in the use of project management tools.
• IT Portfolio Management (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of IT Portfolio Management in practical applications of a difficult nature. Manages a portion of the Company's Application Portfolio that focuses on comparing spending on established systems based upon their relative value to the organization. Manages a portion of the Project Portfolio which addresses the issues with spending on the development of innovative capabilities in terms of potential ROI and reducing investment overlaps in situations where reorganization or acquisition occurs.
• Project Quality Assurance (Intermediate): Maintains an open mind and appreciation of the "big picture" rather than rushing to traditional or historical conclusions or approaches. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully demonstrating quality management techniques for large projects without requiring support and instruction from others. Makes and facilitates improvements to business processes within the scope of the project. Consistently delivers superior products and services.
• Project Oversight (Intermediate): Provides Project Oversight for a large or complex project and communicates with project managers and client management during the process. Acts as a sponsor for all project stakeholders and helps manage project acceptance. Has experience with project management and is knowledgeable of the organization's project management procedures including estimating. Experienced in mediating conflicts regarding project content and delivery, communicating at management levels and assuring that projects are on time and within budget. Protects the interest of the organization's well as those of the parties involved.
