Job Description

JOB DESCRITPION: We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Logistics Officer (LO) to be responsible for analyzing data and methods to improve commercial efficiency for Haile Gold Mine. Your responsibilities will include ERP reporting, leading continuous improvement projects within Supply Chain, quality assurance and liaising with inventory teams and management, and monthly reconciliation projects within the ERP. The LO will work within the Supply Chain team and play a key role in reporting efficiency and improving processes. 

The LO should be analytically minded and possess excellent Microsoft Excel skills to best manipulate data. Knowledge of Microsoft BI is advantageous as well.

• Work with Purchasing Team on tracking all purchase orders (order acknowledgements, ETA’s, ETC.)
• Correct ERP receipts that are older than 6 months (GRNI-Goods Received Not Invoiced)
• Work with Accounts Payable to ensure invoices can be matched to purchase orders and are payable.
• Facilitate Continuous Improvement Projects within Supply Chain.
• Work with Purchasing Team on sourcing goods under contract requirement limits.
• Run Monthly reports for month end reconciliation.
• Work with assigned department to ensure procurement planning and processes are followed.
• Comply with companies purchasing and authorization procedures.
• Assistance in catalogue management to mitigate duplicity and provide accurate data.
• Support assigned department in current vendor relationships and communications.
• Internal and external safety advocate.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Preferred 3-5 years of experience in hard rock mining.
• Preferred ERP experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with complex problems, including both definition of the problem, and generation and evaluation of solutions.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills, including goal setting, and the ability to modify priorities where necessary to achieve these goals.
• Effective written and oral communication skills, and the ability to influence others to co-operate and contribute.
• Intermediate numerical analysis and reasoning skills.
• Ability to work both within a team and alone.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
