Sr. Software Developer– Security & Container Optimization

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Software Developer to join our dynamic team, focusing on security and container optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, experience integrating with front-end systems, and a solid understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with scanning tools is considered a bonus. Active Public Trust/ Secret clearance or higher preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Security & Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize container environments (Docker/Kubernetes) with an emphasis on security best practices.
• Software Development: Write, test, and maintain high-quality Python code that integrates with front-end applications and other systems.
• System Integration: Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between back-end services and user-facing applications.
• Container Management: Design and implement container orchestration solutions, ensuring robust performance, security, and scalability of containerized applications.
• Tooling & Automation: Integrate and, where possible, automate the use of scanning and vulnerability detection tools to maintain a secure container ecosystem.
• Collaboration & Code Quality: Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and optimized solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of design decisions, code, and processes related to security and container management.
