Job Description Summary

The Aero Repair & Industrialization Engineering Leader at GE Vernova is instrumental in advancing repair and replacement part solutions for GEV's Aeroderivative gas turbine platforms, including the LM2500, LM6000, and LMS100. This leadership role oversees engineering activities related to repair and replacement part engineering, covering both sustaining and developmental aspects for current and future aeroderivative products. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Design Engineering, Materials Technology, and Manufacturing Process Repair experts. This position aims to develop a strong repair and replacement part design engineering team while strategically leveraging GE Vernova's advanced technological and manufacturing resources. High levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

The role combines strategic leadership with tactical execution, focusing on repair development and replacement part design engineering for Aeroderivative gas turbines.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and Management:  Manage all repair, design, and industrialization engineering activities with an emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). Develop the engineering team and processes to meet business needs and strategic goals.  Support new repair and replacement part industrialization opportunities. 
  • Technical Expertise and Innovation: Collaborate with Design Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing & Repair Technologies to innovate engine maintenance, repair methods, and replacement part industrialization efforts. Provide technical leadership and program management for all engineering related activities across Gas Power design teams and support aeroderivative business Toll Gate reviews.  
  • Risk Management and Strategic Planning:  Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. Shape technical plans for replacement part and repair solutions that align with immediate and long-term goals. Communicate complex information clearly to build stakeholder consensus.
  • Mentorship and Collaboration:  Mentor junior team members and provide environment for career growth. Build cross functional relationships to encourage collaboration to solve complex problems with a lean mindset.  
  • Documentation and Communication: Ensure accurate and secure documentation of technical data and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. Develop process and systems that will enable rapid cross functional solution development.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in Engineering and/or Engineering Operations, strong knowledge of gas turbine component design and repair methods, proven leadership of global technical teams.

About Us

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $152,400-$254,000 USD Annually.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a Variable Incentive (VIC) bonus of 15%.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
