Job Overview:

As a Sr Backend Developer, you will spearhead the design, development, and implementation of our next-generation, highly scalable, and resilient cloud-native backend solutions on AWS. You will leverage your deep expertise in TypeScript to lead the development and deployment of robust backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate is a skilled, solution-oriented team player with strong communication skills, capable of collaborating across multiple teams to drive project success. You’ll work closely with our product, engineering, and leadership teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with Tactacam’s product initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and implement highly scalable and resilient cloud-native backend solutions on AWS.
• Lead the development and deployment of backend applications and APIs using TypeScript.
• Drive the adoption and best practices of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
• Expertly design and optimize data models and access patterns utilizing Amazon DynamoDB and other appropriate data stores.
• Develop and deploy efficient and cost-effective serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and related services.
• Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior backend developers, fostering their growth and development.
• Drive improvements in development processes, code quality, and system performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, leading root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
• Evaluate and recommend new AWS technologies and services to enhance our platform.
• Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards in all development efforts.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in system design or architecture, including knowledge of design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing infrastructure as code with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
• Deep understanding and practical experience with Amazon DynamoDB at scale.
• Proven ability to architect and develop complex serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
