DoD Clearance: SecretThe Mission Systems Associate Director is primarily responsible for leading a team of Global Trade Relationship Managers (GTRM) that proactively work with the business value stream leaders/teams to provide strategic Global Trade (GT) guidance in support of business objectives/programs while maintaining compliance with all applicable GT regulations and company policies and procedures. This position will partner closely with Mission Systems senior leaders and value stream team members to understand program objectives, provide guidance regarding GT regulations, establish an authorization/technology transfer plan, and ensure plan execution to allow business requirements to be realized. Working with the Director and other Mission Systems GT leaders, this position works to set the direction of the business under the Collins GT umbrella.
As an Associate Director in GT, you will be responsible for a team that focuses on all aspects of the Collins Global Trade Program (training, policies, processes, implementation & metrics); identification of authorization needs for the business; ensuring compliant transfers of physical goods and intangible items; using digital technology and physical safeguards to manage transfers compliantly and efficiently; sanctions and embargo compliance; and addressing regulatory and policy violations to prevent recurrence and drive continuous improvement. Project management and collaboration will be key to this role. This role will partner with other GT leaders in areas of Technology Management, Authorizations, Customs, and Digital Technology as well as the business to further our program and meet the business needs. This role will serve as a subject matter expert in Global Trade and must be familiar with both exports and imports. The position requires both a high-level understanding of the products and an intimate knowledge of the regulations surrounding their export and import, including U.S and Non-U.S. (EMEA) regulations as they may apply.
What YOU Will Do:
- Drive strategic planning efforts and lead multiple programs/projects ensuring adherence to scope, schedules and budgets
- Review and present plans and progress reports to senior/executive leaders
- Identify and respond to program problems and leads solutions
- Build strong and extensive working relationships and networks internally and externally
- Leading the GTRM team
- Working under/within the following U.S. Regulations: Export Administration Regulation (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR)
- Daily business problem solving
- Strategic analysis and plan development
- Support investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures
- Support GT Director in the Mission Systems GT Program
Expectations of the role:
