Banquet Server - E 55th Street Marina

The Banquet Server is responsible for all table service duties as well as prep work and closeout tasks.

1. Assists with banquet room and table prep prior to events.
2. Assists with food/buffet preparation before and during the event.
3. Ensures safe food handling guidelines are followed by self and team members.
4. Delivers food from the kitchen and/or prep area in a timely manner.
5. Serves appetizers and plated dinners to guests.
6. Takes drink orders and serves beverages.
7. Responds to guest questions and/or requests in a timely and satisfactory manner.
8. Assists with post-event clean up, inventory, food storage, and tear down.
9. Works as a member of the team, communicates with team members and supervisor to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
10. Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.
11. Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public. Responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
12. Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications

•  Previous serving experience preferred.
• Must complete Serve-Safe program after hire.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public.
• Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation with ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings.
• Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative.

Work Schedule:  Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekend and holidays.
