Project Overview:
Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world.
An opportunity exists to work within the ES&H team at our Cardinal Project located in New Albany, Ohio.
Job Summary:
The Project Environmental, Safety, & Health (ES&H) Program Coordinator primarily provides coordination and facilitation of the Project Mental Health Program and the Project Muscular Injury Prevention Program (MSIPP) but may include others. The position reports to the Project ES&H Manager. #LI-AM3
Major Responsibilities:
- Facilitating a Project Mental Health Committee.
- Coordinating with onsite medical provider regarding mental health materials and workshops.
- Creating a branded/visual identity for the project mental health program.
- Planning Mental Health events and initiatives in line with national and international awareness days/weeks/months.
- Organizing Mental Health First Aid Training and keeping up to date lists of all persons trained.
- Facilitate the implementation and coordination of the project Muscular Skeletal Injury Prevention Program.
- Planning MSIIP events and initiatives in line with the MSIPP plan on daily / weekly / monthly basis.
- Other duties as assigned by the Project ES&H Manager or ES&H Services manager.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, counseling, social work, musculoskeletal Sciences or related field and/or 6 years of experience
- Experience in ES&H program implementation.
- Experience in mental health first aid.
- Intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft software applications (Word, Powerpoint, Publisher)
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education
- Must be able to obtain site security badge for access to work site.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Preferable to have Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor training with Mental Health First Aid USA
- Proficiency in effective communication, empathy, relationship building, problem solving and attention to detail.
- Must have ability to plan, organize and implement procedures and initiatives.
- Ability to speak in front of large crowds.
- Previous construction project experience is preferred.
