CNC Machine Operator 1 (2309)

Job Summary___________________________________________________________________

The CNC Machine Operator 1 is responsible for operating machinery and aiding in the machining of a variety of components at a basic level in order to support the organization’s production requirements. 

Responsible for participating, supporting, and maintaining compliance to the Company’s quality, environmental and occupational health & safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities as defined by the Company.

Position responsibilities do not include direct communications with employees, customers, or representatives.

Duties and Responsibilities_______________________________________________________

• Ability to use minor machines including overhead crane, fork lift, and hydraulic press.
• Familiar with the machine controls involved in completing a task on a particular machine.
• Ability to follow instructions with respect to setting up the machine to perform various tasks.
• Ability to load material into the machine.
• Ability to inspect the component as it comes off the machine for conformance to the appropriate specification.
• Ability to recognize a suspected problem within a particular process or machine and alert the supervisor.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of the machine and surrounding area.
• Ability to deburr all parts.
• Ability to efficiently run one machine/work center.
• Ability to follow production logs/digital logs.
• Possesses basic understanding of measurements and tolerances utilizing calipers, micrometers, tape measure.
• Ability to use commonly used software and internal programs.
