General Description of Position:

Clearwave Fiber is seeking a Senior Analyst, Operational Reporting & Analytics to play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency across the organization. This position will lead key analytical initiatives, provide strategic insights, and train cross-functional teams on best analytical practices.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Science, or Operational Analytics, strong SQL and data visualization expertise, and exposure to AI/ML technologies. This role requires a highly analytical and strategic thinker who can lead cross-functional data projects and drive continuous improvements in reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Advanced Data Analysis & Reporting

• Design and maintain complex mathematical models to forecast business trends, optimize operational efficiency, and identify risks/opportunities.
• Build and manage data-driven scorecards, KPI dashboards, and automated reports to track performance across sales, operations, customer service, and network infrastructure.
• Ensure data integrity and reliability across reporting platforms, providing accurate, actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Generate ad hoc reports and support data requests from executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

AI/ML & Data Science Integration

• Apply predictive analytics, AI/ML models, and automation to improve business decision-making.
• Develop proof-of-concept AI/ML models to optimize processes, such as customer churn prediction, network performance analysis, or sales forecasting.
• Partner with IT and data teams to evaluate and integrate AI-driven business intelligence solutions.

Leadership & Strategic Initiatives

• Lead major data and analytics initiatives that support company-wide strategic goals.
• Work closely with executive leadership, operations, finance, and IT teams to identify high-impact opportunities for data-driven decision-making.
• Prepare and present key findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

Training & Mentorship

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on analytical best practices, data visualization, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense).
• Train peers and cross-functional teams on proper analytical methodologies, data interpretation, and storytelling with data.
• Establish and document best practices for data analytics, reporting, and dashboarding.

Process Improvement & Governance

• Identify opportunities for process automation using ETL, AI-driven workflows, and cloud-based data solutions.
• Define and implement data governance strategies to standardize and streamline reporting processes.
• Continuously refine data models and analytics infrastructure to enhance efficiency, scalability, and performance.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data science.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, STEM, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and ETL workflows.
• Knowledge of mathematical modeling, forecasting techniques, and statistical analysis.
• Experience leading analytics initiatives and presenting insights to senior leadership.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and training skills, with a track record of mentoring peers and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to and some experience with AI/ML technologies, such as predictive modeling, NLP, or automation.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (DevOps, CI/CD, Lean, Scrum).
• Prior experience in telecommunications or internet service providers.
