About this role

The Analyst will be keen and enthusiastic in addressing new challenges, who has an interest in a career in Data Privacy. They need to be proactive in nature, curious and consistent in providing high quality work. This role is within the Group Privacy and Data Protection team, reporting directly to the Global Head of Privacy and Data Protection based in Budapest.

The successful candidate will support global privacy initiatives, interacting on a regular basis with Legal & Compliance, Information Security, Technology and Business groups.

Candidates must have a proven track record of providing quality work in time demanding situations and must be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate, build relationships and influence others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide data privacy support for the EMEA region.
  • Support the VP Privacy and Data Protection, EMEA, Budapest in implementing the Global Privacy and Data Protection Policy and framework and the Global Head of Data Privacy and Data Protection.
  • Support in the implementation of privacy and data protection laws to any situation to all business and group control functions as required.
  • Support privacy and data protection issues in firm-wide strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, standards and procedures that support global privacy program objectives.
  • Support in the identification of privacy risks, trends, vulnerabilities, research solutions and provide advice on risk mitigation.
  • Support in the completion of privacy impact assessments (“DPIAs”) and privacy reviews of third-party vendors to evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and internal standards, identify risks and advise on mitigating actions that should be taken.
  • Support in the review and maintain entries in the repository of processing activities (the “ROPA”).
  • Assist in individual rights requests and privacy incident responses.
  • Support in the control and oversight groups to create, maintain, test, and monitor for privacy and data protection compliance.
  • Support in raising awareness and training of the Privacy by Design principles within the Business.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Ideally up to 2 years of experience working in a compliance role.
  • Professional working proficiency in English (written/verbal) is required.
  • Relevant legal and/or privacy qualification or training desirable.
  • Awareness of privacy and data protection laws, in particular GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) desirable.
  • Experience working in financial services or technology is desirable.
  • Ability to motivate and influence effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to build rapport with key stakeholders to identify privacy risks/trends and stay abreast of new products/initiatives.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, and written communication skills, with focus on informing, influencing and relationship building.
  • Experience or familiarity with conducting DPIAs, ROPA, third party risk management, individual rights requests and incident responses desirable.
  • Experience in use of Privacy software platforms such as OneTrust is desirable.
  • Project management and coordination skills desirable, with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload and manage time effectively.
  • Motivated self-starter, proactive with strong attention to detail.
