Bartender- THE ROW- Varies (Reno)

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Prepare and serve beverages to guests and servers (food servers, cocktail waitresses)

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following.)

1. Greet guests in a friendly and cheerful manner while taking their drink order.
2. Prepare drinks using proper recipe and glassware.
3. Serve drinks in a fast, friendly and efficient manner.
4. Keep the bar clean and organized.
5. Direct beverage attendants.
6. Correctly ring up drinks on the register and return correct change.
7. Answer guest questions about the property and events.
8. Monitor guest alcohol consumption levels and intoxication level.
9. Ensure responsible serving only to guests 21 and older (carding, don’t over-serve).

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  Must have the ability to provide our guests with excellent customer service, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Be able to move quickly up and down the bar. Must have basic math skills. Must be able to run cash register. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Must have excellent hand-to-eye coordination. Must possess above average memory

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: High School or equivalent.

Certificate/License: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must obtain Alcohol Awareness Card

TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position). A physically demanding job.  Constant walking, standing, twisting.
