About the role
Amazon’s Ops Tech Services Supply Chain team is looking for a talented, driven, and highly analytical Production planner and scheduler. This position is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the production process at our 5 EMEA Operations facilities. Duties include a specific focus on consuming forecast, ensuring inventory availability to meet demand, creation of 30,60,90 day production plans which are broken down into weekly scheduling for order fulfillment. Maintaining and building strong relationships with Operations, Supply Planning, Inventory, Procurement and IT Deployment teams. Managing stakeholder expectations both internally and externally to ensure alignment and the customer orders are met on-time and in-full.<br/><br/>This position will have an end to end understanding of supply chain processes including demand & supply planning, inventory strategies, manufacturing SOPs and logistics. They will have a strong bias for action to deliver results for the customer. A strong understanding of data analysis and demonstrated success in driving processes is required.<br/><br/><br/>Key job responsibilities<br/>Areas of responsibility include:<br/><br/>- Work with inventory management, purchasing, manufacturing, warehouse & distribution team to schedule production runs as per the customer need by dates and reduce or eliminate potential back log orders.<br/><br/>- Analyze incoming demand levels to determine gaps and risk to order delivery<br/><br/>- Manage order placement and order tracking to optimize on-time shipping, fill rate, and lead time, particularly focusing on meeting/exceeding customer expectations<br/><br/>- Support system inputs to achieve highly automated production planning<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot gaps in production planning and drive resolution or mitigation strategies<br/><br/>- Own & drive the technical roadmap for production planning metrics<br/><br/>We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:<br/><br/>Luxembourg, LUX<h3>Basic Qualifications</h3><br/>- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field<br/>- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL<br/>- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules<br/>- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization<br/>- 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning and Scheduling, Sourcing, Transportation ^ Logistics, or Similar field.<br/><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3>- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience<br/>- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience<br/>- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization<br/>- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements<br/>- APICS CSCP or CPIM certifications.<br/><br/>Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
