You will apply a variety of computational methods—such as free energy calculations, molecular dynamics simulations, and other modeling techniques—to enhance the accuracy and performance of the software. You will get an opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering and scientific research.

Key Learnings:

  • Experience with OpenEye products used in state-of-the-art scientific research
  • Experience developing in a professional scientific software environment
  • Experience applying cutting-edge computational methods for binding free energy prediction

What you should have (formally MUST HAVES/REQUIREMENTS):

  • Experience with Python programming
  • Solid understanding of one or more of the following: statistical mechanics, thermodynamics, molecular dynamics, and free-energy perturbation theory
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as a part of a diverse team

The following are a PLUS, but not required (preferred skills/experience):

  • Practical experience running free energy calculations (e.g., RBFE or related methods) or conformational sampling in real projects
