About this Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Budget Analyst to join our Technology Shared Services Centre for Vodafone Business (VB) in Romania. This role supports VB Group Portfolios in managing and tracking budgets, ensuring financial accuracy, and driving compliance with governance and accounting standards. The individual will work closely with Finance, Procurement, and Delivery teams across Vodafone regions to ensure effective budget control and reporting.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with LPMs and budget owners to maintain accurate full-year outlooks in budget trackers.
- Ensure budget alignment with governance approvals and communicate risks and opportunities to Finance.
- Perform project accounting activities including forecasting, reconciliation, SAP budget setup, and spend analysis.
- Manage budget trackers to reflect SAP actuals, commitments, and current spend views.
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, Vendor Management, and senior stakeholders for budget control.
- Consolidate and deliver financial reports and ad-hoc analyses as required.
- Lead regular portfolio calls to advise on budget decisions and planning.
- Simplify and automate cost planning processes and reporting mechanisms.
Who you are
- University degree in Business Economics, Financial Management, Information Management, or similar.
- Proven experience managing programme Capex budgets and working in IT Delivery or Business Transformation environments.
- Proficient in SAP Finance & Accounting and understanding of cost treatment accounting rules.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Comfortable working in virtual teams across multiple countries.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Telecoms or fast-paced industry background preferred.
- Knowledge or certification in Agile, PMI, P3O, PRINCE II, CIMA/ACCA, Lean Six Sigma, or Business Intelligence is a plus.
