Role Purpose

The Quality Systems Program Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality compliance within the organization. This position requires a strategic approach to quality management, effective collaboration at both the division and site levels, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

Quality Systems Program Managers drive accountability and innovation by identifying improvements and implementing data-driven strategies. They collaborate with global stakeholders to align quality objectives across regions and product lines, ensuring compliance and operational excellence. Success in this role requires a forward-thinking approach and adeptness in complex, cross-functional settings. Specific details are listed below:

 

  • Quality Management System (QMS): Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS for the Advanced Optics division to ensure compliance with internal corporate and external industry standards, always looking into the future to keep systems advancing 
  • Systems and Process Deployment: Analyze the discrepancies each site has in relation to the division process maturity model and establish a systematic approach to elevate all sites to a uniform level of maturity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in quality processes. Utilize data analysis and site feedback to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with division and site departments such as quality, production, engineering, and customer service to ensure quality standards are met throughout the organization
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for division and plant staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Audit Management: Plan and conduct 2nd party internal audits to ensure compliance with QMS and regulatory requirements
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality processes and procedures from a divisional perspective and develop necessary guidance documents for all critical ISO/AS9100 areas.
  • Metrics and Accountability: Compile comprehensive reports that detail quality metrics, performance indicators, division-specific metrics, and site-specific metrics. Additionally, provide thorough updates on critical customer statuses as well as detailed accounts of aging customer claims.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or will consider business background with associated experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality or process management within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience with ISO 13485, 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 standards.
  • Average 25% domestic travel (drive/fly), up to 50% for short-term busi
