The Work You Will Do:

Senior Certified Bridge Inspector / Director of Transportation Operations / District Maintenance / Districtwide Bridge Inspection & Repair

 

Coordinates inspection schedules and performs field inspections, as required, of State-owned structures within the District in accordance with requirements specified in the Department's Manual for Bridge and Other Structures Inspection and Reporting; and the National Bridge Inspection, Standards (NBIS) and assures the quality of the work that is performed by other team members.

Anticipated Salary Rate: $78,357.24

A Competitive Area Differential (CAD) additive in the amount of $478.40 will be added to the annual salary.

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Coordinates inspection schedules and performs field inspections, as required, of State-owned structures within the District in accordance with requirements specified in the Department's Manual for Bridge and Other Structures Inspection and Reporting; and the National Bridge Inspection, Standards (NBIS) and assures the quality of the work that is performed by other team members. Identifies evidence of stress related deterioration and physical condition of various structural components. Defines and quantifies deficiencies, identifies root causes utilizing both current and historical inspection results, by behavioral observations and makes recommendations for preventive and corrective actions. Supervises the collection of samples and on-site testing of the structures and other materials.

 

Conducts periodic filed review of inspection teams; independently reviews of work order completions, inspection
