Purpose

To perform skilled work in an electrical generation, mechanical and electrical utility, and chilling station environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assists and is trained to Install, maintain, and repair plant equipment and utility systems. Assists in performing periodic inspections of major mechanical and electrical equipment and chilled water systems. Installation may include welding in accordance with ASME and AWS standards. Accuracy in all phases of work performed.
  • Assists and is trained to perform preventive or corrective maintenance tasks incidental to the operation of mechanical, electrical or utility tunnel distribution systems in accordance with established procedures. Assists and is trained to remove, fabricate, and install insulation systems in accordance with established specifications. Wears respiratory protection as required by task.
