Occupational Summary
Coordinate and monitor curriculum development and evaluation of various training initiatives administered within the Division of Community Health, which are designed to meet healthcare workforce development training needs at Duke University and beyond. Project Coordinator will support Division education team in ensuring that program training curricula are aligned with program goals and manage the efforts of process and outcome evaluations, which include data collection, analysis and reporting. This position reports to the Division Vice Chief of Education. Some evening and week-end work is required.
Work Performed
Key education products in the current training portfolio that this position would support include the Duke Advanced Practice Provider Institute (APPLI) and other health professions training initiative. This individual will consulting with program leadership team, staff, training facilitators and advisory board members to identify and evaluate specific areas in developing training needs; refine, conduct and evaluate program outcome and process surveys to address training needs and quality improvement initiatives; propose distance-based educational modules; provide resources and advice to training facilitators in developing onsite or webinar training sessions; and coordinate the implementation of the training sessions to ensure consistency between the program and training objectives. The individual will work with the program’s director and training coordinator to support, as needed, in any related education/training initiatives. This position’s activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Identifying personnel (training facilitators), and materials/resources needed to accomplish program training objectives
- Providing technical support, as needed, to training facilitators for presentation of onsite events and distance-based instructional activities.
- Executing continuing education (CE) responsibilities, including applications, program records, and generating (CE) certificates.
- Creating and uploading program training materials onto the education web-based platform for access and engagement by program participants.
- Developing and communicating with program participants and collaborators the schedule of learning activities along with program-related evaluation surveys.
- Researching training concepts, techniques and resources within and outside of the institution for possible application with program curriculum.
- Coordinating program evaluation efforts in regards to selecting and disseminating tools, collecting and analyzing data in order to determine impact of leadership development program on participants, identify progress or adverse trends and recommend curriculum or process changes, as needed.
- Assist in presentation and publication efforts, as required, to disseminate and market program impact.
- Performing other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Strong organizational, coordination, project management and prioritization skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop methods, procedures and systems to support learning initiatives and records maintenance.
- Curriculum and educational module development. Analytic skills to evaluate program performance, summarize findings, communicate results, and provide recommendations for future program modification and improvement.
- Preference for candidates with experience in higher education and/or healthcare environments.
